Teacher North Brown County - Hiawatha This position requires two to four (2‑4) years experience working with pre-schoolchildren in a group setting. Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree with at least 18 credit hours of early childhood education, or CDA. Must hold a valid Driver's license.
Assistant Teacher Atchison County – Atchison Jackson County – Holton Pottawatomie County - Onaga Leavenworth County - Leavenworth Nemaha County - Seneca NEK-CAP, Inc. is searching for a team member to be an Assistant Teacher in the Head Start Centers in the above counties. This position will assure a supportive role in the daily operation of the center and provide assistance to the teacher. Provides opportunities for the parents to learn about the development of their children. Ability to lift up to 50 lb. Requires High School Diploma or GED and one-three years experience working with children in a group setting. Knowledge of computers required. Position open until filled. Position will begin in August 2008. Must hold a valid Driver's license, good driving record and willing to obtain CDL within six months of employment.

Program Aide Pottawatomie County – Onaga NEK-CAP Head Start has a Program Aide position open in Pottawatomie County in Onaga. This position assures a supportive role in the daily operation of the center by providing safe, daily transportation to students, and assistance in providing a supportive learning environment within the center. High School graduate with high degree of organizational skills. Computer knowledge required. One-three years experience working with young children in a group setting. This is a nine-month part time position – 20-25 hours per week. Must hold valid Kansas Driver's License and be willing to obtain a CDL license. Post-offer drug testing required. Must pass a health assessment, T.B. test and criminal background check.
